You have given me something worth dying for.

TMI AU: We Meet Again.
Tessa crept towards the room slowly as she could. She had heard Jace and his wife, Clarissa, were expecting their child soon. And so when she received a fire messaged from Jace, she had dashed towards the Institute.
“I can’t believe I can’t even name my own son!” Clary’s voice was a complain, responded by Jace’s soft laughter as he added, “We had a bet, I get to name our boy.”
And when she entered, she was immediately introduced to Jace’s son. And a sudden feeling gripped in her chest. She had thought it was not possible.
Jem believes we are all reborn, that life is a wheel. We die, we turn, we are reborn as we deserve to be reborn, based on our doings in this world.
And she would know this soul anywhere, for it was her own.
“Tessa, this is our son.” Jace said. But she had already called out his name in a whisper.
“His name is William, William Luke Herondale.”
Will, she thought. We meet again.
“I read these, you know, lots of great stories about boys, that have these great adventures. They focused on boys and they are terrific books. And we know books I think we need but I really wanted something like that that was about the coming of age of a girl that realizes that she is the chosen one, the magical one, you know, the special one and I just wanted to see that.” - Cassandra Clare

My name is not Mara Dyer, but my lawyer told me I had to choose something. A pseudonym. A nom de plume, for all of us studying for the SATs. I know that having a fake name is strange, but trust me—it’s the most normal thing about my life right now. Even telling you this much probably isn’t smart. But without my big mouth, no one would know that a seventeen-year-old who likes Death Cab for Cutie was responsible for the murders. No one would know that somewhere out there is a B student with a body count. And it’s important that you know, so you’re not next. Rachel’s birthday was the beginning. This is what I remember.
“the night riddley turned 16, she ran away. she said she could feel herself turning dark. she said she had to get away before she hurt anybody she loved. (…) then it happened. it’s not fair what happened to her.” - lena

“When I saw you fall…”
“You thought, ‘Wow, she’s a loser.”
